2 years after the acquisition of the qualification (cycle 30) 16.67% of the Research Doctors in STIET have a research role at the University of Genoa, the same percentage has a role in Italian Research Bodies, while 25% works in foreign universities. 25% work in Italian industries and 8.33% work in Industries abroad. 8.33% work in private training bodies. In short, 2 years after the acquisition of the title, 33.33% of Research Doctors carry out activities within Companies while 58.33% within Italian or foreign universities or research centres.

3 years after the acquisition of the qualification (cycle 29): 54.55% of Research Doctors carry out activities within Companies while 45.45% in Universities or Research Centres, in Italy or abroad.

Data 2 and 3 years after the acquisition of the qualification confirm the interest of the training carried out in the PhD for the activity within the industry and, at the same time, the suitability of the preparation achieved for academies and research bodies at an international level.
